U krajnice je nalezeno tělo námořníka Davida Austina. Zpočátku to vypadá na nehodu na motorce, ale Ducky při ohledání zjistí, že muž byl zastřelen. Záběry z nedaleké čerpací stanice odhalí, že námořník pronásledoval jakési auto, ve kterém na sedadle spolujezdce seděla žena, která ho posunky žádala o pomoc. Abby zjistí, že kulka, jež muže postřelila, byla vypálena ze zbraně, která byla původně použita konkurenční službou ATF. Díky této informaci je k vyšetřování přizvána i Tonyho přítelkyně Zoe. Do města přijíždí Tonyho otec s plánem, že se natrvalo přestěhuje do Washingtonu, aby byl synovi nablízku.(TV Nova)
