NCIS začína vyšetrovať údajnú vraždu poddôstojníka, počítačového experta. Telefónny operátor bol svedkom údajnej vraždy vo chvíli, keď muž telefonoval. Tím NCIS však zistí, že vražda bola fingovaná. Muž práve pracoval na počítačovom programe pre námornú zdravotnú službu a cez tento program dokázal ukradnúť veľké množstvo liekov. Gibbsovmu tímu pomáha s vyšetrovaním poručík Cheney.
