Gibbs se dozvídá od svého šéfa Leona Vance, že jeho otec dostal infarkt a zemřel. Gibbs tedy odjíždí do otcova bydliště, aby vyřídil pohřeb. Mezitím zbytek týmu vyšetřuje požár na lodi amerického námořnictva USS Niagara. Zjistí, že požár byl založen úmyslně, aby mohli uprchnout vězni, které loď převážela. Utéci se podařilo dvěma mužům, kteří byli napojeni na teroristu Parsu. Do případu je zapleten i Alejandro Rivera, který z vězení financoval aktivity teroristů poté, co NCIS zabila Parsu, s jediným cílem - zabít Gibbse.(TV Prima)
