Aang je mocný Avatar, ale zároveň mladý chlapec, který touží po dobrodružství. Společně s přáteli míří na ostrov Kyoshi, kde chce osedlat obrovské kapry Koi. Zároveň ale probudí i jiného obyvatele zátoky, obrovitého úhoře Unagi. Na ostrově jsou ale zatčeni dívkami, které se hlásí k odkazu Kyoshi (jedna z předešlých reinkarnací Avatara). Princ Zuko je však Aangovi v patách. Se svou posádkou nečekaně útočí na ostrov.(Viktooorka)
