In Concert. Documentary (2010). Songwriter Alpha Thiam was born in Guinea in a family of the nobility Toucouleure, one of the tribes that form the great family of the Fulani ethnic group in West Africa. Guitarist and composer, Alpha Thiam feeds on a variety of repertoires from Mali, Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire, Liberia and Burkina Faso. He sings in the Peule, Mandingue and Soussou languages. He combines his electric guitar with Nathalie Cora's koras, Cédric Dind-Lavoie's bass and double-bass, and Moses Yawo Matey's percussions (calabash, djembe, cajón). Directed by Jean-Jacques Sheitoyan
