Mugi Awaya a Hanabi Yasuraoka se navenek zdají jako ideální pár: oba jsou velmi oblíbení mezi ostatními a výborně se navzájem doplňují. Jenže není vše jak vypadá, protože nikdo neví o jejich tajemství. Mugi je zamilovaný do mladé učitelky, která ho občas doma doučovala a Hanabi do učitele, který je rodinným přítelem už od jejího dětství. Vztah Mugi a Hanabi je klidným přístavem, ve kterém si léčí rány způsobené onou nenaplněnou láskou a vyhýbají se tak nepříjemné samotě.
