Dr. Alex Reidovej dochádza, že už šesť týždňov nemala menštruáciu, čo vo väčšine prípadov znamená tehotenstvo. Kúpi si test, nie je však schopná si ho urobiť. Dieťa by síce aj chcela, ale je toho na ňu teraz priveľa. Do nemocnice je prijatý pacient s kusom železného zábradlia v hrudi. Nepamätá si svoje meno ani žiadne iné osobné údaje. Ale to najčudnejšie je, že necíti vôbec žiadnu bolesť. Počas operácie si dokonca sám vytiahne onen kus železného zábradlia z hrude. Len o kúsok následne unikne smrti. Pri kontrole jeho osobných vecí je nájdená vizitka akéhosi Veľkolepého Randalla, ktorý je hypnotizér. Dr. Reidová si ho vyžiada a tak prichádza do nemocnice. Prejde okolo neho Charlieho duch a Randall mu pochváli oblek. Maggie má na starosti mladú ženu, ktorú vraj jej matka zhodila zo schodov. Nemôže teraz hýbať krkom, hovorí nezmysly, bezdôvodne rýmuje a hádže po ostatných vecami... (TV Markíza)
