Detektiv Murdoch a policie čelí ve městě teroristické hrozbě, když je objeven místní průmyslník Richard Welch, přivázaný k horní části telefonního sloupu s aktivovanou „hlukovou" bombou připoutanou k jeho hrudi. Starosta Clarkson přemluví majitele průmyslových podniků v oblasti k přerušení provozu, aby se hluková zátěž snížila na minimum. Bohužel lidské tragédii nezabrání. Další obětí hlukové bomby se má stát starosta. Detektiv Murdoch má pouhé tři hodiny na to, aby nalezl podezřelého, jenž může deaktivovat výbušné zařízení...(Česká televize)
