Detektiv Murdoch a konstábl Crabtree vyšetřují smrt profesionálního zápasníka Handsoma Randolpha Hendersona. Na počátku se domnívají, že muž zemřel na následky nepovoleného chvatu použitého v průběhu zápasu s maskovaným protivníkem. Doktorka Graceová je však přesvědčena, že podlehl velké dávce morfia.
