Julie, Emily a jejich přátekyně vyrazí do odlehlé chaty na ostrově na dámský večírek pořádaný na oslavu blížící se svatby Lavindy se Cedricem Maxwellem. Na akci, které se účastní Cedricova sestra, dojde k tragédii. V téže době se detektiv William Murdoch stále nemůže vzpamatovat z toho, že Dr. Julia Ogdenová zcela nečekaně odmítla jeho nabídku k sňatku. Proto se raději zcela ponoří do své kriminalistické práce.
