Detektiv Murdoch vyšetřuje velmi bizarní případ, kdy se odsouzenému vrahovi nejspíše podaří přežít smrt pod popravčí smyčkou. Když je nehybné tělo Cecila Foxe doručeno do márnice, doktorka Ogdenová nalezne v jeho krku dutou trubici a také neklamné známky života. Nemožné se stalo skutečným. Zdá se, že „klientovi" čekajícímu na smrt, se podařilo částečně dýchat pomocí vložené trubky. To by ale na překažení rozsudku ještě nemohlo stačit...(Česká televize)
