S01E06 - Bastogne
V Bastogne došlo k jednomu z nejdůležitějších střetnutí bitvy v Ardenách, což byla poslední Hitlerova ofenzíva, kterou připravoval a plánoval jako svůj poslední trumf. Hitlerův plán předpokládal, že budou američtí vojáci obklíčeni v Ardenském lese, odstřiženi od zásobování a lapeni v ledové a sněhové pasti během nejmrazivější části roku. Vojáci však dorazili do Bastogne s vědomím, že jim chybí dostatek zásob, jídla i munice a dokonce postrádali i zimní oblečení. Medik Eugene Roe neměl ani potřebnou lékařskou výbavu a sehnat ji ho stálo značné úsilí.
